Steven R. Hagan was born in Spokane, WA, on November 14, 1966, and passed away unexpectedly

on July 30 th , 2026. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Hagan, in 1985.

Steve is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Colleen; daughter, Melanie Scott (Parker);

grandchildren, Blair and Rowan Scott; son, Dale Hagan (Erin); mother, Judith Hagan; sister, Wendy

Weaver; and brother, Paul Hagan (Michelle), as well as many extended family members.

Steve attended St. Xavier and later Assumption Catholic School before graduating from Shadle Park

High School, where he met Colleen, the love of his life. A standout soccer player, Steve earned a

scholarship and went on to receive a degree in Electronics. He and Colleen were married in 1989 at

St. Charles Parish and began their family in 1992. He loved raising his children and was incredibly

proud of them. His two grandchildren were the light of his life.

Steve embraced an active life, enjoying water skiing, soccer, running, hiking, cycling, and cross-

country skiing. He approached each challenge with quiet determination and perseverance. In 2018,

he completed the Coeur d’Alene Half Ironman, a personal milestone.

Steve built a fulfilling career in technology and manufacturing, beginning at J&R Electronics in Coeur

d'Alene, where he installed hilltop repeaters, antennas, and security systems, and outfitted police cars

with sirens and lights. He embraced every challenge and gained the skills and experience that

shaped his career. Those experiences led to 15 years as a Test Engineer at Itronix, then KeyTronic,

and most recently 10 years at F5. Known for his dedication and expertise, Steve earned several

promotions and, more importantly, the respect and admiration of the people he worked with

throughout his career.

Steve's career occasionally took him outside the country. Still, his favorite adventures were closer to

home—hiking in state parks, biking to the top of Glacier, and enjoying time on Coeur d’Alene Lake

and an occasional trip to Hawaii. His Catholic faith was a source of strength in his life and deepened

in recent years through parish studies and a recent pilgrimage to Italy.

Steve will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and faithful friend. A man of quiet

integrity, kindness, and deep faith whose love for family was the very heart of his life and whose

steady presence left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 21, at 11:00 a.m. at Assumption Parish, located at

3624 W. Indian Trail Rd. A reception will immediately follow the Mass.
