Obituary

Troy Patrick Stasch, a beloved husband, father, papa, and friend passed away on June 7, 2025, in his hometown of Spokane, Washington. Born to Pat (David) and Janice Stasch, alongside his sister Malinda (Stasch) Kimmet. Troy spent his life deeply rooted in the community he loved. He attended Saint Francis of Assisi before graduating from Shadle Park High School, where he met his high school sweetheart, Paula (Revier) Stasch. Their love story spanned 40 incredible years, marked by an unwavering partnership and friendship. Together, they built a life filled with love and dedication, raising their children, Alison Stasch and Tony Stasch, and later cherishing their grandchildren, Jacob Stasch and Grace Stasch, who were the joy of his life. From an early age, Troy developed a passion for hockey, becoming a skilled goaltender. His dedication to the sport lasted through his young adult years, creating lifelong friendships and cherished memories, especially with his late father, who drove his team's hockey bus. Troy carried his love of the game into coaching, passing down his knowledge to his son, Tony, and the young athletes he mentored. He had an unmatched ability to lift others up.

Along with Troy's many gifts, he could certainly bring the gift of laughter to any situation. Any somber moment could be turned around in a jiffy. If you had the pleasure of spending time with Troy you truly understood what a wholehearted laugh was. He was a joy to be around. Troy was a true family man, a pillar of strength that found happiness in the simple moments; time spent at the family's lake cabin, spending the weekend at the Coeur d'Alene Blues Festival with Paula, watching Gonzaga Basketball and evenings on the deck with a red beer.  He looked forward to entering his AMC Rambler Ambassador in classic car shows, side by side with Tony and Jacob, especially their cherished Father's Day tradition at the Wendle Car Show. Troy was always there for Alison not just for the big moments, but the countless small ones. He answered every phone call and provided the encouragement and strength when she needed it the most.

He was an active member of the Eagle's Athletic Supporters dedicating his time to charitable events, including the Honor Flight Car Show. His selflessness reflected the kindness and dedication that defined his life. A hardworking and honest man, Troy spent 30 years in the tile and stone industry, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike. In the past year, he embraced his lifelong dream earning his CDL and embarking on a new journey as a Teamsters Local 690 driving truck with Inland Asphalt, alongside Tony.

Troy's legacy is one of love, dedication and unwavering support. He will be remembered as a family man whose presence brought warmth and laughter to every room. His impact will live on through the memories shared by those who loved him. He will be deeply missed.
