Valorie Ann Sherman was called to heaven on July 21st, 2023, peacefully surrounded by family. Valorie was a loving mother to Candace, Marybeth, Petty, and James; aunt to Mike, Chad and Stevie; grandmother to Christina, Shay, Nick, and Nevaeh; as well as multiple great-grandchildren. Valorie's family was everything to her as she was to them.

Valorie was born on October 21st, 1941, in Spokane, WA to Evelyn and Jack Gaffaney. Valorie is preceded in death by her mother, father, and two brothers, Greg and Steve.

Valorie was a strong, loving, and compassionate woman. Whether people or animals, she was always there for someone in need. She loved to spend time with family and friends. She was quite literally the life of the party. She always knew how to have fun. She spent her time well, bringing the family on camping trips, boating trips, snow skiing, playing piano, and ending her days relaxing with a good book. Her smile was infectious, her laughter contagious. She shined brightly every day. Valorie was beyond a blessing. We are all better people for knowing her.

The family would like to thank the hospice house of Spokane and the nurses for the marvelous care she received on her final journey. Valorie will remain loved and missed by those lucky to have known her.
