On December 10, Jeanie passed peacefully in the presence of her loving husband, Jerry. Jeanie was born on May 10, 1940 at Sacred Heart Hospital to proud parents Bob and Agatha Carroll. She graduated from Marycliff High School and enrolled at Gonzaga University the following year. During her freshman year, she agreed to go on a blind date with Jerry. They went to North Bowl where Jeanie bested him and thus carried a lifetime of bragging rights. In January of '60, they married at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. They spent a quick honeymoon in Las Vegas on their way to Fort Benning, Georgia where Jerry was to be stationed. The following year, they returned to Fort Lewis in Washington state where they welcomed their first child, Michael in January of 1961. Two years later in August of 1963, they welcomed their second child, Robert. In 1966, they moved into their forever home where they created a lifetime of memories, finally moving out in 2023 and transitioning to Riverview Retirement Community. Jeanie loved her family fiercely and was the OG Mama Bear. After the boys were established in school, she began a career working in the development office at St. George's School. Jeanie and Jerry traveled extensively, cruising in their motor home through the lower 48. But their favorite place was Hawaii, where for thirty years plus, they would spend a month enjoying oceanfront living.  Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Agatha Carroll. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jerry; her son Michael (Kathy); son Robert (Linda); the daughter she never had Julie Zinkgraf (Ron); brother Robert (Cathy); grandchildren Emily Unland (Damon), Alex Paukert (Connor), Annaliese Paukert, Jack Paukert (Ally), and Zach Paukert.  In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate in Jeanie's name to the Alzheimer's charity of your choice. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 1:00pm, at Holy Cross Cemetery in the Mausoleum chapel, 7200 N. Wall, Spokane
