Wilma passed away on November 11, 2022 at her home with her Nephew, Chasen Bemis and her Niece, Dee Dee Friedlander by her side.
Wilma M. Friedlander-Blessing was born on January 2, 1930 in Nespelem, WA to her Father William George Friedlander, 1 st Chief of Police in Colville Reservation and Prominent Cattle Rancher and Mother Velda Valena Friedlander, homemaker. Wilma graduated from Nespelem High School.
Wilma was married to Bud Bemis and they had 2 children, Bud Jr. and Gwen Bemis Brightwell, whom are deceased.
Wilma married Fred Blessing on March of 1969 and became a step mom of four. She enjoyed a very active life, loved the outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing with her husband, Fred and family members. Loved gardening, vegetables and flowers. She flagged, wide loads for heavy equipment on the Interstate. Her hobbies were jigsaw and crossword puzzles.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Fred of 53 years, her parents George and Velda, siblings Frank, William, Kenneth Friedlander and Evelyn Friedlander Nissen. Wilma's son Bud Bemis Jr., and daughter Gwen Bemis Brightwell, step daughter Debbie Blessing White.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Vickie Bemis, and Fred's children Theresa Snyder, Kathy (Ed) Woodland, Fred Jr. (Linda) Blessing, and son-in-law Larry Snyder. Several nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, along with many friends and the kindest neighbors.
