It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother Zita Marie Giger-Parks on April 9, 2025.

She was born in Coleridge, Nebraska to William and Irene Hanika on January 27, 1925.

She served in WWII in the Navy as a Corpsman. One of her proudest moments was going on the honor flight with her daughter to Washington D.C.

She is survived by four daughters, Phyllis Giger Lee, Nancy Giger Miller, Pam Ulrigg D'Assisi, Pat Giger-Bell (Larry). Three granddaughters, Angie Ritter (Bill), Cammy Pruneau (Philip), Courtney Martin (Brian). Eight great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, one Sister Midge Hamilton (Bob).

She is preceded in death by husbands Phil Giger, Floyd Parks, grandson Justin Miller, and four sons in laws.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, 10:00am at St. Thomas More, 505 W St. Thomas More Way Spokane, WA.
